Child safety standards
SocialRise, operated by Social Rise Group Pty Ltd (ACN 703 251 174, ABN 28 703 251 174), New South Wales, Australia. Last updated: 27 October 2026.
SocialRise is for adults only. You must be 18 or over to create an account, and everyone confirms their date of birth when they sign up. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
What is not allowed
- Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers children, including CSAM, drawings, AI-generated or edited images, and links to such material.
- Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to contact, meet or arrange to meet a child for sexual purposes.
- Anyone under 18 using SocialRise.
How we prevent it
- 18+ only. Date of birth is required at sign-up and under-18s can't create an account.
- Photo checks. Every profile and group photo is screened by an automated safety check before it goes on show, and anything flagged is refused.
- Plans, not private matching. People meet in small groups at plans held in real, public venues.
- Block and report are available on every person, group, message and photo.
How to report
- In the app: report the person (profile ⋮ → Report), the group (Group info → Report group), the message (press and hold → Report) or the photo (the flag on the full-screen photo). Choose the category that fits best and add any detail you can.
- By email: contact@socialriseapp.com, with "CHILD SAFETY" in the subject line.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 000. You can also report directly to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (www.accce.gov.au/report) or to eSafety (www.esafety.gov.au/report).
What we do when we receive a report
- We aim to respond to every report within 24 hours, and we review child-safety reports first.
- We remove the content, suspend the account, and keep the evidence needed by law enforcement.
- We report CSAM and suspected child exploitation to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (AFP) and cooperate with law enforcement requests.
- Accounts we believe belong to someone under 18 are suspended and deleted.
